Koei-Kan Karate Do

Koei-Kan is an original style of karate that can be traced back to its origins in China, Okinawa, and Japan. Koei-Kan Karate was brought to the United States in 1954 by Edward Kaloudis with the permission of Koei-Kan’s founder Kancho Eizo Onishi. Koei-Kan is a very disciplined style of martial art that has not been changed or Americanized from its tradition. When a student is qualified and accepted for membership they are required to adhere to the honored traditional and principles of the ancient was with their emphasis on total mind and body development. Koei-Kan literally translates to “Prosper with Happiness”. It is a style that becomes an exceptionally efficient system of self defense and a valuable means for the development of one’s inner strength and sense of universal brotherhood.
